A retainer is the best way to secure regular service hours for virtual assistance work. It is a guarantee that during that time period (any given month), those hours are guaranteed to be dedicated to your work, without the need for you planning ahead and remembering to book some time or issue tasks requests well ahead of the month. Those hours are promised to be reserved for you and your business tasks no matter what. It means that if you know you will be needing services on a regular basis, you don’t have to worry about waiting for availability. This is especially useful if you have regular tasks that need completing on a monthly basis, or if you feel that you always have tasks you need to hand over, but which you only know what that’s going to be on a weekly basis, rather than knowing a full month in advance.
